Lingfield Park, already boasting a new all-weather track and fully refurbished grandstand within the last five years, is now working to complete the regeneration of this famous Racecourse into a magnificent state-of-the-art racing, conference and leisure destination with facilities to match or better any in the country.
The Lingfield Park hotel and leisure scheme commenced construction in May 2008 and opened on schedule in May 2010. This scheme, which incorporates a 116 bedroom 4-star hotel, a health club and spa as well as a new golf clubhouse, is branded as a Marriott Hotel and Country Club. The complementary nature of this asset to Lingfield Park is central to our development strategy allowing us to exploit synergies in operations, notably in catering, and to maximise the existing facilities which include a championship standard golf course and extensively refurbished conference and meeting suites.
The redevelopment also includes improvements to vehicular and pedestrian access, enhanced facilities for horses and handlers, a new entrance building and the removal of numerous smaller buildings around the Racecourse. As a result, a sizeable area of currently developed land have been returned to Green Belt, dramatically improving the remaining areas of Lingfield Park.
